The new feature is available via iOS, Android, web
Twitter added emoji reactions to direct messages on its platform, across iOS, Android and the web.
The social network revealed the new feature in a Twitter Support tweet, which contained a link to instructions for using it.
Users can either hover over a DM and click the reaction button, or double-tap on the DM and choose an emoji from the pop-up menu that appears.
Clicking or tapping on the reaction will reveal who was behind it, and all participants in a DM conversation will be notified when a new reaction is added.
People can opt to undo a reaction at any time, and it will be removed from the DM.
